FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: ~Can you confirm that the main cabin is also on cement block foundation? Seller states that the front part of the cabin is structural clay blocks commonly used until the 1950's - he also stated that its 119 years old he has crawled under there and it is solid. The wall nearest the deck could use repair but his thought at this point why as the cabin does not move if it did the tile would cracked the tile has not moved in the 3 years they have had it. ~The floors are quite crooked which is a concern, unless they've been that way for a long time. -- The Seller states – the cabin floor joists were no doubt built from roughhewn wood and there probably were no kilns to dry wood in those days . Wood does move a bit so we may assume the bowing was there early on and a long time ago. We chose not to tear out the original floor and resurface and shim. ~The crawl space/storm shelter on the bunk house collect water or is it usable storage space? Seller states they have not seen water in the crawl space. He was going to stop and look, this time of year would be most likely if there was going to be ~ Additional note the bunk house was built in 1960 and a year round neighbor that lives to the right of the Y in the road plows in the winter time.
